Car Park Barrier provides protection for both vehicles and structures in either single level or multi-storey car parks. The barrier provides an impact height of 445mm as recommended in the most recent report published by the UK government regarding barriers for edge protection in car parks. Car park barriers have two different functions depending on where they are installed. In situations where the car park edge is a parapet wall or other solid structure, a barrier needs to provide impact protection at a height of 445mm to prevent vehicles making contact with the car park edge. In situations where edge/fall protection is required on a multi-storey or other car park, an optional attachment to the barrier is available (note - all pictures on this page show the car park barrier with the attachment fitted). This attachment ensures that the assembled barrier complies with height and other requirements called for in relevant standards and building regulations. These requirements relate to edge/fall protection with regard to people and children falling, rolling, sliding or slipping through gaps in the barrier. The barrier is easily assembled from modular components to any desired length and is supplied complete with all necessary floor fixing bolts for anchoring the barrier posts into concrete. It can be used inside or outside. The barrier is suitable for use on both industrial and commercial premises and sites. Both the Car Park Barrier and the edge/fall protection attachment have been impact load tested and have individual certificates certifying compliance with relevant standards.
